The manager's syndrome, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome or "burnout" syndrome, is a state of long-term stress, which results in physical and mental, primarily emotional exhaustion. The manager's syndrome is characterized by rapid fatigue and exhaustion of the body, which does not go away even after a vacation. Chronic fatigue syndrome is spreading with amazing speed in all civilized countries of the world. Difficulties with its treatment are explained by the difficulties in determining the diagnosis. Experts associate such a rapid development of this ailment with a high rhythm of life and an excessively large emotional and psychological load that humanity has to face. For the first time the diagnosis of "manager's syndrome" was made by American psychiatrists in 1984, but until now scientists cannot give an unambiguous answer about the causes of chronic fatigue syndrome.

Only managers are affected by the manager syndrome. Although it is believed that people in leadership positions are more likely to suffer from this unpleasant disease, in fact, representatives of many professions suffer from manager syndrome. As a rule, these are young, ambitious careerists who devote more than 10 hours a day to their work.

Women don't fall prey to managerial syndrome. Chronic fatigue syndrome is equally dangerous for both men and the fair sex. Most often, people who suffer from manager syndrome are in the prime of their careers and powers - from 25 to 40 years.

Manager's syndrome is a mental illness and has no physical manifestations. In fact, the manager's syndrome is often associated with colds, which are caused by the virus collectors typical of any office: telephone handsets and keyboards, against the background of a weakened immune system. In addition, manager syndrome is associated with weakness, fever, headaches, and metabolic disorders. Often these symptoms are combined with an unhealthy complexion and a noticeably deteriorated condition of the skin and hair.

The manager's syndrome can be overlooked. This is true, but only in the initial stages. At first, many attribute this serious illness to ordinary fatigue, which is considered a panacea for a regular week's vacation. The sad fact is that neglected stress does not go away even after a vacation, and a noticeably reduced performance may not recover for weeks or even months.

Some people have innate strong immunity to manager syndrome. This is not true, everyone risks earning chronic fatigue, but it has been proven that people who are overly emotional and easily amenable to suggestions, as well as those who cannot refuse requests from their superiors and colleagues, are at much greater risk. Thus, if immunity does not guarantee it, it significantly reduces the chances of getting sick with the manager's syndrome; healthy, in a good sense, "do not care" and the ability to say the word "no" in time.

Manager's syndrome is only common in big cities. Indeed, it is difficult to find a rural resident with advanced chronic fatigue syndrome. This is primarily due to the high pace of life in large cities. The emotional overload that metropolitan residents experience is a catalyst for manager syndrome.

The manager's syndrome is necessarily preceded by prolonged depression. Depression is, rather, a consequence of the fatigue syndrome. People who are at the peak of their careers often become victims of the syndrome, and it is almost impossible to fully work in a state of severe depression.

With proper treatment, you can completely get rid of the manager's syndrome in a couple of weeks. Chronic fatigue syndrome is not acquired quickly, therefore, treatment in advanced cases, that is, when the diagnosis of "manager's syndrome" is confirmed, will be long-term. Usually its duration is from six months to several months.

Strong stimulants such as alcohol, caffeine and nicotine have been successful in maintaining strength in the event of manager syndrome. All these stimulants provide only a temporary tonic effect, while a person needs a good rest. Instead of truly recuperating, a person under a short exposure to coffee or a cigarette is mistakenly convinced of his high performance, which finally exhausts the body and leads to a more advanced stage of the disease.

Vitamins help with manager's syndrome. This is not true, it is almost pointless to help with vitamins alone. To get rid of the manager's syndrome, a combination therapy is used, which also includes taking multivitamins.

Workaholism is easy to defeat if you move some of the work to the evening. It is not for nothing that the labor code provides for an eight-hour working day, usually from 9 to 18 or from 10 to 19 hours. This is primarily due to human biorhythms. It is scientifically proven that the peak of working capacity occurs at about 11 hours and almost at the end of the working day. The time of the very beginning of work and about an hour after the lunch break are more suitable for raking up routine tasks. But after ten in the evening, the productivity of work decreases, so it will not work to generate brilliant ideas at this time, and constant work at night will completely lead to physical and emotional exhaustion.

The best medicine is prevention. It really is. First of all, you should change your attitude to work and learn to leave thoughts about it outside the office door. For emotional health, nothing is more important than proper, proper sleep. Ideally, sleep should be at least 8 hours daily.
